Dickinson College’s Employer Relations team works closely with each employer to create customized engagement opportunities that help organizations connect with early career talent at Dickinson, and that assist students with getting the experience they need to launch their careers.

The Employer Relations team works year-round to bring employers, alumni, and industry partners to Dickinson through career fairs, information sessions, networking events, employer site visits, interviews, coffee chats, and other recruiting opportunities.

• Events Feed: The “Upcoming Events” listing features events from the Be Recruited collection of Dickinson College’s Handshake account. These events feature employers that are actively hiring interns or accepting job applications. Click the “View More” button or browse the complete Be Recruited collection directly in Handshake to learn more and register for these and other recruitment events with employers.

• Jobs/Internships Feed: Dickinson has a special label – Dson Connected – for alumni-connected roles and employers that are close partners of the college. These roles reflect the strength and generosity of the Dickinson network, as graduates and community partners continue to open doors for the next generation of Dickinsonians. The “Featured Jobs” feed highlights both jobs and internships from the Dson Connected collection in Handshake. Click “See All Jobs” to learn more, or view the complete Dson Connected collection directly through your Handshake account. 

• Parker Dewey Micro-Internships: Through Parker Dewey, Dickinson College students have access to short-term, professional, paid work experiences. These are project-centered, real-work experiences where students can demonstrate skills, explore career paths, and expand their professional networks. Since Parker Dewey experiences are usually about 10 to 40 hours of work in total, they are shorter than traditional internship experiences and do not count towards Dickinson College’s INP program for academic credit. As such, it is important to note that international students at Dickinson College are not eligible for Parker Dewey micro-Internships. Additional information about micro‑internships, including available opportunities, can be found on the Parker Dewey website.   

• Featured Employer Events at Dickinson: The Employer Relations team curates a premium lineup of events designed to connect students with select employer partners who are interested in recruiting Dickinson talent for early career opportunities. This list of events featured in the “Career Resources” section below includes Career Spotlights, Dickinson’s boutique-style career fairs, as well as Career Treks, where students visit designated employer sites (often with an alumni connection). Check back frequently to see new opportunities and visit the links for each event for more information and to sign up in Handshake.
